Our Vision & Mission
White River Saw Mills has a mission to become and remain the most successful softwood sawmilling group in the country.
In order to achieve this we must create a perception of excellence towards our Company in the eyes of our stakeholders by ensuring the following:

Our History
White River Saw Mills was founded in 1989, marking the beginning of a successful journey that has spanned over 30 years. Since its inception, the company has established itself as a key player in the sawmilling industry, and is known for its commitment to quality and innovation. Our vision and dedication have propelled the business to new heights, ensuring its enduring success in a competitive market.
In 1993, the company continued its expansion by purchasing Densa Saw Mills from the Hans Merensky Foundation. This acquisition not only diversified its operations but also positioned White River Saw Mills as a leader in the regional timber industry. The integration of Densa Saw Mills added valuable resources and capabilities, enabling the company to cater to a broader customer base with increased efficiency.
By 2003, White River Saw Mills further solidified its market position by acquiring Scanlux Laminates, which introduced a specialised timber range to its portfolio. This move complemented the existing offerings and showcased the company’s commitment to innovation. Between 2008 and 2012, substantial upgrades were made at Densa Saw Mills, focusing on modernising equipment and processes to significantly boost productivity. These enhancements have ensured that the company remains competitive in an evolving industry while continuing to meet the needs of its clients
